Aluminium powder dispersion is highly reactive when synthesized in nanosize. These particles are used to prepare explosive mixtures for aerospace, defence industry and sub-marines. High-performance rocket fuels are getting more impervating by using nanosized aluminium particle dispersion. The burning rate of aluminium nanoparticles (Al NPS) is higher than that of other aluminium particles.
Aluminium powder dispersion is used in the metallurgical, chemical, paint and pigment industries. However, ultrafine aluminum powder dispersions have specialist end uses in rocketry, explosives, thermal spray, powder metallurgy, etc. There are increasing use of powder metallurgy (PM) products based on aluminum alloys in lightweight structural parts and internal combustion engine components including camshaft bearing, shock absorber pistons, and brake caliper.
Nanoscale Al dispersion has also been studied as high-capacity hydrogen storage materials. Therefore, significant effort has been made on the development of synthesis methodologies for Al Nps of desired properties. Aluminium dispersions are also used as a fuel in propellants and pyro techniques.
Aluminium powder dispersion is attracting significant attention in the midst of a choice of metal particles because of their reasonable cost, unique aforesaid properties, and are widely used in various potential applications include automobiles, catalysis, solid rocket propellants, explosives, lubrication, etc. A wide variety of liquid and vapor phase reaction methods have been developed for the synthesis of aluminium nanoparticle which can be further utilized in the synthesis of aluminium dispersions.
Aluminium powder dispersion: Alumina is one of the most widely used ceramic materials as catalysts, catalyst supports and absorbents and also wear-resistant coating. Among different forms of this worthwhile material, ultrafine α-Al2O3 powder dispersion has significant potential for a broad range of requests as high strength materials, electronic ceramics, and catalysts.
