Typical Chemical Analysis
Nano Dimension’s ink scientists can reliably extract 10-100 nanometer-sized particles of pure silver. Because of smaller particles size 10-20nm and low processing temperature 100-170 Degree C it is widely used in various printed technology. The smaller sizes of nanoparticles make the ink suitable for printing on various substrates using inkjet printing technology. This allows us to achieve the highest ink performance optimization in properties such as conductivity, adhesion and flexibility, in a wide range of applications including RFID and OLED, from the particle level all the way through formulation to the printing process itself.
In addition to the printed circuit board technology, carbon-conductive inks/paste is also employed in other sectors of electronics/electrical engineering. By means of carbon-conductive inks, static electricity can be discharged from plastic components and other insulators, such as paint coatings. This application is mainly used in the housing industry (television and computer housings) with the paint being relatively fluid and sheet-sprayed onto the components.
Carbon inks/paste is lubricious, providing low friction and excellent thermal stability. They are also chemically inert, with low reactivity to solvents and other chemicals. The carbon inks can be applied by screen-printing, dipping, and syringe dispensing and feature excellent adhesion to Kapton, Mylar, glass and a variety of other substrates. Unlike conventional conductive materials, carbon inks are very resistant to abrasion, scratching, flexing and creasing.
Carbon ink/paste play an increasing role in applications including printed resistors, polymer thick film circuitry, membrane switches, electrical attachments, heaters, and static elimination. We can configure carbon inks to obtain a range of electrical conductivity values by blending them with silver inks and adjust conductivity to a specific level. Nanoshel can also blend carbon inks with silver inks to reduce cost for some applications.
