Super activated charcoal has a surface area about 1000m2/g and has the ability to adsorb many drugs. It has been recommended to use multiple-dose activated charcoal for the clearance of certain drugs including carbamazepine, digitoxin, glutethimide, nadolol, phenobarbital, phenylbutazone, theophylline, and others. The method of activation and the nature of precursor used greatly influences surface functional groups and pore structure of the activated carbon.
Super activated charcoal was tested for its ability to remove lead, cadmium, nickel, chromium and zinc from water. Nickel had the highest removal percentages by activated carbon at all concentrations and the removal percentages decreased as the concentration of heavy metal increased. Activated carbon has been recognized as one of the oldest and widely used adsorbent for the water and wastewater treatment for removing organic and inorganic pollutants.
Super activated charcoal was also used in food poisoning cases where its effect depended on the adsorption of toxins emitted by bacteria. charcoal filters were used for the purification of drinking water. activated carbon production. The raw materials used in the production have to fulfill various requirements. They should be low in inorganic matter, available and cheap. Their degradation should be low upon storage.
Super activated charcoal also called activated charcoal, is a more effective and advanced form of charcoal whose use dates back to prehistoric age. Activated carbon is a very versatile adsorbent that finds wide use in the environmental, industrial and other fields for removal, recovery, separation and modification of a variety of species in liquid- and gas-phase applications. More than 90% of activated carbon consists of the carbon element.

Super activated Charcoal The application of activated carbon in adsorption process is mainly depends on the surface chemistry and pore structure of porous carbons. Super Activated Carbon is mainly associated with treatment of poisoning substances, it has other important roles in the treatment of patients with chronic kidney disease which enhances the outcome of renal dialysis.
