Typical Chemical Analysis
ZINC NITRATE HEXAHYDRATE is an inorganic chemical compound with the formula Zn(NO3)2 . This white, crystalline solid is highly deliquescent and is typically encountered as a hexahydrate Zn(NO3)2•6H2O. It is soluble in both water and alcohol. Nitric Acid is a colourless, highly corrosive, poisonous liquid (freezing point : -42° C, boiling point: 83° C) that will react with water or steam to produce heat and toxic, corrosive, and flammable vapors. It is toxic and can cause severe burns. It is an important industrial chemical for the manufacture of fertilizers, dyes, drugs, plastics, and explosives. Nitric acid is prepared commercially by the two-stage oxidation of ammonia (Ostwald process) to nitrogen dioxide.
INC NITRATE HEXAHYDRATE nanorods synthesized by microwave heating of a mixture of zinc nitrate hexahydrate and hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA) precursors in deionized water (DI water). The intensity of LO mode at around 576 cm−1 decreases with the increase in the molar ratio of zinc nitrate hexahydrate to HMTA, indicating the reduction of defect concentrations in the synthesized ZnO nanorods. zinc nitrate hexahydrate used for preparation of zinc oxide nanorods.
ZINC NITRATE HEXAHYDRATE Metallurgical wastes are often used in the production of fertilizers with zinc as a micro-element. They contain, besides zinc oxide, high coneenfcrations of iron, calcium, magnesium oxides and a large number of other components, which hinder the observation and explanation of the resulting reactions and compounds. The application of thermal and chemical analysis and x-ray powder diffraction in the investigation of the reaction of ammonium nitrate melt with solid zinc oxide and the characterization of the formed compounds. The results obtained show that oxide reacts with ammonium nitrate forming water-soluble zinc nitrate hexahydrate – Zn(NO3)2•6H2O andless water – soluble compound, which has been characterized as complex zinc nitrate hydroxide hydrate – Zn5(NO3)2(OH)8•2H 2O.
ZINC NITRATE HEXAHYDRATE Most nitrates are soluble in water, and a major use of nitric acid is to produce soluble metal nitrates. All nitrates decompose when heated and may do so explosively. The presence of nitrates in the soil is of great importance, since it is from these compounds that plants obtain the nitrogen necessary for their growth. Organic nitrates are esters formed by reaction of nitric acid with the hydroxyl (-OH) group in an alcohol. Nitrocellulose (or cellulose nitrate) is a highly flammable compound formed when cellulose materials are treated with concentrated nitric acid. The extent of the reaction between the cotton and acid can be varied to give a range of compounds, from the highly explosive gun-cotton to the flammable collodion cotton or pyroxilin. These are now used worldwide as propellants in cartridges and other ammunition.
ZINC NITRATE HEXAHYDRATE is mainly used for machines and bicycle parts galvanized, preparation of steel phosphating agent. It is also used as a mordant in dyeing. And it’s used as analytical reagent, but also for the pharmaceutical industry.Zinc nitrate hexahydrate 2.065 g/mL at 25 °C. Zinc nitrate is an inorganic chemical compound with the formula Zn(NO3)2 .
