Alumina is a cost effective and widely used material in the family of engineered ceramics. Alumina ceramics have been developed and optimized for maximum wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Ceramic has uses similar to cast basalt but it has greater resistance to wear in high velocity applications and impact resistance in extreme dynamic systems. High alumina ceramic exhibits abrasion, corrosion, electrical, chemical, and erosion resistance. Alumina ceramics resist the effects of radiation that can destroy other materials.

Alumina ceramic can have very high dielectric strength, high resistivity and low dielectric loss thus it is also use in insulators and electronic components. High Alumina Ceramics is the most mature of the engineering ceramics, offering excellent electrical insulation properties together with high hardness and good wear resistance. It has a high melting point, high hardness and high mechanical strength.

Alumina ceramics is one of the hardest material among all natural substances known. Under extreme abrasive conditions, no material can complete on a cost to life basis with it’s extreme hardness and wear resistance. In addition alumina, ceramics tiles has exceptional, thermal, electrical insulation, chemical, & mechanical properties and can be formed into any shape and size with various qualities for specific applications.
